Who Is Elkalub?

Chemie-technik remains a family-owned business, now managed by the second generation. Development, production, and sales management are based at the Vöhringen (Württemberg) site, supported by a team of around 30 employees.

Sales operations and customer support are delivered through a global network of representatives, including both company-affiliated and independent partners.

Production

The production facility for grease and oil manufacturing covers approximately 2,400 m². Core plant components have been developed to specific technical requirements and refined over time.

Integration of development and production processes ensures that series products maintain consistency with validated prototypes and test samples.

The production setup is designed to provide a high degree of flexibility, allowing both large-scale output and the economical manufacture of smaller batch quantities.

Regular audits by independent institutions support consistent quality, reliability, and safety standards.

The quality management system has been certified to ISO 9001 since 1997, while environmental management has been certified to ISO 14001 since 2008, reflecting ongoing improvements in environmental performance.

NSF H1 registrations are of particular importance for applications within the food sector. A large proportion of the H1 product range is also Halal certified.

Research & Development

Lubricants are required to meet increasing performance demands driven by evolving equipment design, including higher speeds, greater loads, and increased operating forces. Performance levels that were previously considered high are often redefined over short product cycles.

Ongoing investment in in-house research and development supports the ability to meet both current and future performance requirements. Laboratory work is carried out by experienced specialists using modern testing and analysis equipment.
